Hi Everyone! So when I was in London a few weeks ago I made a quick trip to the MAC store in Covent Garden. If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while then you’ll probably know that I’m a big fan of the cute MAC store just outside the tube station at CG and that I always treat myself to a bit of makeup when I’m there.
I don’t tend to go into the MAC counter here in Glasgow because you have to go through House of Fraser to get to it, but I was surprised to see that they had a makeup pick n mix section to the shop which is quite good if your wanting a small piece of makeup without breaking the bank.
I took full advantage of this and bought a mini MAC Strobe Cream and a mini Velvet Teddy Lipstick, a lipstick that I’ve wanted for a long time because its a perfect pinky/brown toned nude. With it being in mini form it also means that its a cute size for putting in your handbag and also trying the lipstick formula/ colour for a discounted price. The mini lipsticks retail for £10 whereas the regular size lipsticks retail for £17.50.
I’ve attempted to take a picture to show a swatch of both the highlighter and the lipstick. What I can say is that the highlighter/ strobe cream is super pigmented and has a pinky tone to it so a little goes a long way! I like to put it on my brow bone and on my cheekbones but you could also mix it into your foundation to get a more glowy foundation look.
I’ve included a picture to let you see the contrast between the mini lipstick compared to the regular MAC lipsticks, doesn’t it look so cute! I hope that you enjoyed reading my mini haul and please feel free to leave me your MAC recommendations below!
Once I get to 500 followers *which I’m super close to* I’ll be doing a beauty giveaway so be sure to follow the blog to be in with a chance of winning!
