Hi Everyone! Today I have a makeup post because I created a simple everyday makeup that is perfect if you are prone to doing your makeup on the go to work or uni or even if you want a simple makeup look for having a lazy day at home.
This makeup takes around 5 minutes to apply and as you can see from the above image it only consists of 5 products (6 if you include the primer). When I was applying this makeup this morning I realised its actually quite like a look that I’d associate with the summer. The makeup is light on the skin but creates a lovely dewy finish that makes your skin look healthy and awake *perfect when you’ve only spent 5 mins*.
YSL Touche Éclair Primer
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Rimmel Stay Blushed Blusher
Maybelline Anti-Age Eraser
Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick
I apply a thin layer of the YSL Touche Éclair primer to my face which has already been moisturised. Since having my makeup done with YSL back last May which you can read here, I’ve been addicted to this primer as it really helps to make any foundation glow. However, for this look I skip the foundation stage and instead use the Maybelline Anti-Age Eraser under my eyes and dot the Collection Concealer in the shade 1 fair around the areas of my face which has redness and blemishes.
*One tip that I would have is that this minimum makeup looks 10x better when you gently buff the concealers into the skin with a damp sponge. So, I’d bring a small beauty blender in your makeup bag for the train/bus. *
Once the concealer is blended, apply the Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick, the contour end to the hollows of the cheeks and temples before blending with the sponge. This helps to give the skin more colour. Next, apply a small dot of the Rimmel Stay Blushed Blusher to the cheeks before *again* blending with the sponge. Using a liquid blush gives a natural effect. To make the skin look even more glowy, apply the highlight side of the Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick on the cheekbones and nose. This highlighter gives a gorgeous glow without looking too heavy.
Finally, fill in your brows lightly with your brow product of choice. I’ve recently been surprised at how much I’ve been loving using the Studio London Brow Pen *review coming shortly!*
If like me at this time of the year your lips are chapped and sore applying a layer of Vaseline really helps and finishes off this natural makeup look perfectly. I had intended to insert a photo of the finished look but because it was a light makeup look I found that my phone didn’t pick it up well. However, I hope that you liked reading this post and are inspired to recreate the look, it takes 1/4 of the time to apply the makeup than it did for me to write this post!
